Private Lessons are offered for all popular instruments including voice. We have found that private one-on-one instruction allows students to progress at their own pace and gain the best understanding of musical techniques. Students can start private lessons as young as 4 years old. Students can also start private lessons any time of the year or month so there's no need to wait to get started. Students can choose from a variety of styles such as pop, jazz, rock and classical.
Semi-private lessons are lessons that include 2 students and are offered for a 3-4 months period only to students who wish to learn the same instrument and are the same ages and levels on the instrument and are compatible for a lesson together. Semi-private lessons do not get good results if students are too competitive or if one student is much faster than another or the students really want to learn different styles or songs. Semi-private lessons are only offered for a limited period of time because experience has taught us that lessons done in this manner do not get the best results on the long term once the basics have been taught. Semi-Private lessons are never offered for piano.
Audition, Concert and Competition Preparation
Teachers can prepare students for auditions and competitions including TV Commercials, films and movie auditions and competitions such as "The Next Big Star", "American Idol" and other more local competitions. Public and Private schools often hold Talent Shows and concerts and our students are encouraged to do these and to prepare for them. Students are also encouraged to do duets with others and to play in ensembles etc. Our concert pianist teachers most usually prepare students for concerts and this is a part of their teaching curriculum.
Recordings and Videos
Our music school offers opportunities for students to record and video. Students who wish to make their own CDs can get their teacher's help to prepare the songs and material to do so.
The school offers Scholarships to students who fulfill the requirements for such. We have a scholarship fund made up of private donations, concert ticket sales and sales of CDs that we have made. We are currently making a Christmas CD. The entire proceeds will go to the scholarship fund.
